Challah Bread

It's freezing in Chicago so I decided to make some bread to warm up the apartment. I made challah bread for the first time today. It is so good!

I used this recipe from AllRecipes.com:

It makes two loaves.

Persimmon Smoothie

This is so good! I got the basic recipe here: BusyinBrooklyn and added and subtracted a little:

Plain Yogurt

1 frozen (fully ripe) Hachiya Persimmon

dash of vanilla

nutmeg

cinnamon

I took the skin off of the persimmon; it was easy once frozen. Then just put all ingredients in the blender, mix, pour, and enjoy!
